Landia Davies, a South African sculptress renowned for her bronze sculptures, was born in 1979.

She currently resides in a picturesque Western Cape town nestled at the foothills of the Langeberg Mountains. Since her collaboration with AITY Gallery in 2024, Davies has participated in one group show and one international art fair in London.

Davies’s sculptures explore the transformative power of vulnerability. They serve as invitations to embrace bravery, take risks, and remain true to oneself. Her works celebrate naivety and playfulness amidst complexity and adversity. The sculptures encourage viewers to forge authentic individual identities, defying society’s rigid labels and categories. Davies’s current body of work delves into the courage required to embrace raw human emotions. She aims to challenge the viewer’s perceptions of normalcy, suggesting that defining a form’s shape is less important than experiencing its essence.
