“This quote talks about how I approach the process of creating art. I take time to observe and appreciate my surroundings before I start painting and then be guided by intuition.
I hope to create moments of connection that allow people to pause and reflect on the beauty of things that are often overlooked in our fast-paced lives. Ultimately, to help others find a moment of stillness and quiet in a world that often feels chaotic and overwhelming.”
Biography
Luhanri Bekker was born in Pretoria where she studied fine art. She specialises in oil, often featuring landscapes and floral motifs from the Western Cape where she now lives. She is known for her use of vibrant colours, particularly pink, and her her subtle placement of figures creates a peaceful and immersive experience for the viewer.
Luhanri believes that the experience of art can be a powerful way to connect with one’s inner self and to find hope.
